in case of the cylhead they are really useful, because the structure of the heatsink makes it really hard to align single scans based on surface features... calibration ist still important for sure. i do 360deg with markers, align the scans, merge them, delete markers. move to a different angle scan...

hi, does anybody tried scanning with markers? i tried to use the function in flexscan3d and had a lot of trouble with marker detection. the markers on my black rotary table i prepared are not detected... it there a marker size that is specified and i used a wrong diameter, or what might be the probl...

dual chip frewire xpresscard extension?

Hi, i am searching due to bandwidth limitation a 2chip firewire 800 extension card to equipp my laptop with firewire 800.
normal xpress card extensions will offer two ports, using only one firewire chipset, but i need twice 800mbit/s.

hi, try using another usb3 port. i had the same problem...
It is not necessary to use a externally power supply

I also have often problems with inaccuracies after alignment. especially it the part does not fit in the scanner area. (partwise scanning) I found out that it must not be a problem of the david software, because i ran into the same problems aligning the scans in geomagic design x. -By the way in geo...
