Re: Projectors... and Projector Mods.

regarding a modified David K132: you could order one from amazon and return it within 30 days. This isn't the polite way but i wouldn't care too much if it is a big one.

Checking your calibration

I was asked a question about lenses via PM and I don't know if I ever posted my way to check for proper calibration here. Maybe some part of it is usefull for others too? Two things: Debug-Console : I find this very usefull, because after calibration, David writes the results of all of its measureme...

Re: Can someone explain photogrammetry?

That sounds very sophisticated. If your first contact with 3d scanning is those cheapo methods like kinect or simple laser scanners, david looks like high end, but apparently there is a world beyond.
Thank you for the insight!

Re: Camera Resolution Test

The K132 doesn't have a colorwheel but instead, it turns on the red, green and blue leds in sequence. But I guess this has the same effect for you as a colorwheel :P

Re: What do you do with your 3D scans?

I have my scanner as a hobby, out of interest in optics and at some point, i was sure that i need it for 3d printing. Actually, the most sensible scan up to now was a toy model of a roadbike, a friend of mine wanted to duplicate for his sister. I think about offering scanning as a service for hobbyi...

Re: David 5.2

Today, I played a lot with dualcam calibration in the new version. I'm using a setup, where one camera is left of the beamer and one is above. I think, they improved multicam optimization. But I still get better results, when I disable two settings in advanced options and instead dial in the shortco...

Re: Can David do Automatic ََAlignment?

of course I forgot to look up, if/how you can manually start alignment of a sequence. There is the option "Align sequence" if you right click into your list of scans. I think, this is exactly the same as the automatic alignment after you have finished a scan seqence. No idea why they didn't put this...
