HP 3D scan and vertiacal lines on model
Hi, Today it's first time that I had to scan a large objects. Made my 240mm and 300mm panels and calibration is a piece of cake comparing to the small sizes I usually need to fight with. But I do have a lines on the object - vertical lines that bends in the upper image portion to the corners, I have...

Re: Calibration panels for David 5
Ok, with the ability of seeing output I see that every time my calibration fails it's because of Projector calibration. Would anyone know what the values means? Apparently the values: cy=x rmsError=..... If it's over 3% the calibration fails. Also there is many notes about: "3971 outliers remov...

Re: Calibration panels for David 5
Yes, thank You. Somehow I could not find that option before, but it is there. Would You have a short description for the calibration values there that are available in the output? I want to make sure that my calibration panels are in top shape and then I can jump in finding the best projector lenses...

HP 3D scan and 4K cameras
I'm outraged with HP 3D scan software. I can't make it to accept any of the 4K cameras or capture cards. Does anyone has it working??? On old David forum, there were a few people that had it working on David 4. Now it seems any support for high res input is almost gone. I have a Panasonic GH4 as pri...

Calibration panels for David 5
Hello, Would anyone know where the calibration data is saved in the HP 3D scan software. Since the console for the David 5 is not accessible the same as in David 4 the command line does not show the output of David server and I do not see the calibration values. I have made calibration panels using ...

Re: David HP 3D scan and i420 format for 4K
Yes, You did post Your settings on the old forum... I was trying today with David 4 and Windows 7. Even though it seems the David 4 has accepted 1920x1080 source with i420 format and listed it as RGB24 (as opposed to the YUY2). But whenever I tried setting a resolution higher then full-HD the displa...

Re: David HP 3D scan and i420 format for 4K
It is not about Inogeni 4k device. The inogeni can handle the 4k very well. BUT David software refuse to accept anything besides YUYV format. Inogeni can output 4K only in i422 or nv12 formats both of which david does not accept. Jeff - do You remember - what did not work for You under the Windows 1...

Re: 33UX264 camera, advice needed
Also the K137 projector really is insufficient for those cameras!
It’s maybe a bigger quality bump to update the projector then the cameras....

Re: 33UX264 camera, advice needed
I have recently tested this camera. Works fine with David software but You have to install a DirecShow drivers and libraries from their SDK. The camera has a crazy lot of options that changes the resulting quality a lot. But very significant are the chosen lenses. Comparing to the other setup with ...

Re: 3D capture stage (turntable) on David SW
No, You are wrong. In David v 5.2 they added support for “3D capture stage” which is similar to TT-1 but has another rotational axis for tilt and cost significantly less (around $300). This is not widely known because it is intended for HP Sprout computers! It is just not that straightforward as on ...
