Re: Choosing the right device for 3D scanning
Hello everyone, Please advise me on the selection of a 3D scanner for our company, which manufactures door systems for light rail vehicles. We currently use a touch arm to measure and inspect parts, but have found this method to be too slow for our needs. So we are looking for a more modern alterna...

Re: Macro Scanning in Modified FlexScan3D
The detail is excellent. Was this done with a modified pf60 projector? How do did you get the projection small enough and the cameras close enough to scan this small?
I haven't done macro scanning yet but am very curious.

Re: DIY Ball-bar 3d scanning test -Advanced Modified Flexscan3D
i purchased balls with a known sphere diameter of 20mm measured with micrometer. The scan results shows the ๐ฌ๐ฌ๐ด๐บ๐บ ( seems the thickness of white spray coating). The actual ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฟ๐ฒ-๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฑ๐ถ๐๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ between two balls are 100.075mm and the scan measurement shows 1...

Re: An idea for a robotic arm for scanning
I don't know what your budget is, but these servos are very high torque, and have the drivers and encoders built into them. My partner has used them on very large 3D FDM printers, and they're phenomenal. Considering they are servos and you get the drivers and encoders with them, their prices are ext...

Re: 3mm drill bit scan
That is pretty epic! I was thinking my bug scans were good, but when I saw yours, ...oh man! I don't even need to do macro scanning for my jobs, but these just make me want to dig deeper into this nevertheless. Definitely inspirational. The part I don't understand, is how do you get the bug to agre...

What happens if you scan something like that with out markers? Is there a noticeable difference in alignment of accuracy?
