Re: 4K projector and suitable cameras for it

Accuracy is related to resolution, which depends on tb dimension of the field of view, the camera and projector resolution, errors etc.. If your field of view is 10 mm, an HD camera divide it roughly in 2000. So your resolution is 0.005 mm. But that's not accuracy. Thanks for the projector link. As...

Re: 3D scanning - high resolution for small objects

Ok and also the camera position (left, right,up,down) is not importat...like i see in your configuration (that it is on top of projector). Correct. David will sense the camera location during calibration and calibrate accordingly. The only important factor is the angle between the camera and project...

Re: A challenge : macro scanning

I have started by using david laser scanner to go deep. However it was not enough. . LS_SC_01.png MACRO03.png MACRO02.png Your "Let's Scan" app was very promising. I would have liked to see that developed and refined to a commercial level product. Perhaps a little more automated. I remember that th...

Re: 3D Scanning Projector

Would this be appropriate for larger items like a car hood or full size human statue? That is something i wondered as well as i'd like to be able to use it for small and large objects if i could. Or at the very least.. 800-1000mm horizontal image width. :) This brings up a good point. A very fast c...

Re: 3D scanning - high resolution for small objects

Hey all, It's been awhile for me since the David forum and I just found this one. In regard to scanning small objects, that's what I'm doing now. Mostly 32mm miniatures for gaming and such. I still use HP Scan/David 5. Projector is Acer K132 with am Imaging Source DMK 23UX236 using Computar lens. I...
