Re: Waves/Ripples with DavidScan SLS-2

I just can't figure out why the original hardware is not working properly. I have already said that I have never had the opportunity to "hold in my hands" these original components, I do not even know which shutter is used in these cameras (rolling or global shutter). Usually in such case...

Nice work. Thanks for sharing these. I'm assuming that bust whih his eyes closed is a sculpture. How large? What scale are you generally working in?

Re: Lines and other anomalies in my 3D scans after camera upgrade

Welcome to the forum.

You might get better frame rates/results if you switch from RGB24 to Y800.

Philiom wrote: 06 Sep 2021, 21:11 Hi looking for a scanner for around 500 to 600 pounds.
Are there any accurate simple to use models about?
Looking for a model that does motor cycle spares up to 200mm x 200mm x 200mm, any help would be appreciated.
Yes. but... Resolution, speed and accuracy are what cost money.

Re: Laser projector

I've been lurking around this forum for a while, trying to learn as much as I can on various subjects. I bought one of the 3D3 Solutions SLS scanners nearly a decade ago (for the small business that I had at the time). The scanner has been collecting dust for many years but I've recently begun upgr...

Re: IS cameras and Y800 - strong bayering

ok, I feel like a complete tool right now :D I've noticed that you can change the compression DIRECTLY in HP (5.2.1) just by hitting the "Change" button on the image info window (rightmost symbol on image preview). Here I can pic a compression with debayering active (RGB24/32) It's a bit ...

Re: IS cameras and Y800 - strong bayering

I have a solid, functioning HP-SLS rig with two ImagingSource DFK 21AU04 (Color 640x480, BY8-compression, 60fps) and a Acer K11, but I wanted to bump up my rig's resolution. I've since bought two ImagingSource DBK 23U021 (Color 1280x960, Y800 compression, 60fps) for a bargain, but I'm noticing a st...

Re: Markers Alignment error with Flexscan3D

Hello, little update: I solved the markers alignment problem in an interesting way. It seems that the problem was diacritic (čšťžý...) in my Windows user name. My user name contains diacritic so I tried switching over to another user in Windows (on the same computer) that has no diaritic. The align...

Re: Handheld scan of a pot

Mading, The hardware is compatible with Basler cameras only. Handheld scanning requires some seriously fast fps cameras too which really narrows down the choices... And due to shortages and the state things are in right now, I was extremely lucky to have been able to find a pair of cameras(although...
