Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
So if the angle was measured on legs then cameras should be installed on the projector base also when it stands on legs. My bad was that I bought a 15cm arca swiss quick release plate which was shorter than the legs so the whole projector was more flat. My lesson is that If I will use your angle I s...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
The vertical angle of deviation of the optical projection from the lens axis can be calculated experimentally - by placing the projector on a flat surface / table at a distance, for example, 1 meter, from the wall. Then measure the height from the table to the center of the lens and from the level ...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
Thanks for your advice. I like your varifocal ZLKC lenses but I`m afraid of light loss with that type of lens. I have to improve my scanner build because it has some bad sides. I`m working to have fewer vibrations and to improve overall quality. I had an error also because I moved the projector zoom...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
I have two additional questions: 1) I`m scanning with a middle size calibration panel. I`ve scanned measure tape 1.5m with markers and I have a 3.5mm mismatch per 1.5m scans. So I`ve measured a single patch scan to see how accurate a single patch scan is. You may see a single patch scan below. It ha...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
Thanks for the movie. Now it`s clear to me. So I can move calibration panels to hit the centre of the camera view.

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
On long cables, there may be a power drawdown. I use 3m cables - they still work fine. It is also worth checking the settings of the controllers - it is possible that they are not prohibited from switching to power saving mode, and they simply turn off the cameras. To some extent, this problem can ...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
When I first ran the scanner with this projector, I got, at best, only a few stripes instead of a scan. I was advised to increase the delay to 200 - and the scans began to turn out ... then I began to reduce the value, and experimentally determined that 80-90 is optimal for my settings for small sc...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
The projector itself, in addition to tilting the projection upwards, also has a shift in the light flux to the left of the central axis of the lens (I don’t know why this was done) Do you mean that projector is not perfectly centred between cameras? I`ve thought that is my error. What is the delay ...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
Another thing which may be wrong is that the left camera is the indifferent length from the projector lens than the right one. So I assume that the projector is not a perfectly perpendicular aluminium profile.

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
I have one more question. Should I choose 16:9 or 4:3 projector ratio for those Daheng cameras?
