Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
Convergence angle between cameras - 20-22°. I have an angle of 20 ° fixed in the mounts. The vertical angles are also fixed by the scanner frame design. When working, I only set the distance between the cameras according to the calibration tables used. IMG_20211129_203741s.jpg IMG_20211129_232458s.j...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
You also need to understand that working with blue backlight severely limits both the power of the projector (since only one (blue) LED works in this case) and the band-pass filter itself limits the sensitivity of the camera. P.S. And this mode (as far as I know) is required only if it is not possib...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
Hello.
1. A slight deviation of the "crosses" during calibration does not play a role.
2. The dimension of the focal length of 12mm or 12.5mm lenses also does not matter.
3. To realize full-fledged blue-light processing, BP470 type band-pass filters with a bandwidth of 470nm are required.

Re: MindVision SUA630M (USB3.0 IMX178)
Is the MindVision SUA630M available for purchase in the USA? I once bought these cameras on aliexpress. But now I do not see these cameras for sale. I think it's easier for you to find similar cameras from other manufacturers - Basler acA3088-57um, IDS UI-3880CP-M-GL Rev.2 or Daheng MER-630-60U3M-L

Re: Projector for Range Vision DIY and Daheng cameras
Nice. Do you use some custom macro tubes for your ZLKC lenses or those extensions (back tubes between lens and camera) are possible to buy? These are not "tubes" - this is the front of the camera I see also that the camera sensor and projector lamp are not aligned in one line. In David wa...

Re: Projector for Range Vision DIY and Daheng cameras
Hi. I'm using the predecessor - LG PF1500 - technically the LG HF60 is identical to my projector (same projection module and optics). Therefore, the real minimum distance at which the projector can focus without any additional things is 26cm. That allows it to be used in a wide range of scanning tas...

Re: photogrammetry for ditches
Watch a video on phogrammetry of industrial facilities on YouTube - using aerial photography (or using drones), you can accurately calculate the volume of embankments or dug pits. Here is one example https://youtu.be/yZKathXREYU There are also a large number of programs for photogrammetry, ranging f...

Re: Questions about RV Daheng low distortion lens for David SLS-2 projector K132
The initial curvature of a 12mm / 10MP objective lens does not differ from a 12mm / 5MP objective - this value is only an indicator of the quality of the lenses and their maximum resolution according to a special measuring world. The very distortions introduced by the lenses are compensated (to some...

Re: Questions about RV Daheng low distortion lens for David SLS-2 projector K132
Unfortunately, I didn’t have any experience with a projector like yours. But for large scanning areas, the most versatile (for many scanner models) is a 12mm focal length lens. 16mm is needed for scanning small objects, and 25mm for very small objects. I am starting from the basic scope of delivery ...
