Re: I am new and this is my scan
Hi everyone and thanks for yours comments. I use the hp calibration panel. I use conventional measuring instruments such as digital calipers and micrometers in measurements. I use geomagic design x as a reverse engineering program and I do a dimensional check of the scans. Micro, How can I open the...

Re: I am new and this is my scan
Thank you for your advices Micro. I upgraded my david sls3 scanner with my second camera and david 5.4 software. I did a few tests today with two cameras and a turntable. 1st test (morning): 70mm piston. The calibration panel angle is 90.05 and the calibration is nice but the accuracy is bad (0,15m...

Re: violin part
These are OK, But I think you are reading the wrong RMS value. In the debug console there are a number of parameters that have RMS values. The one we are interested is an aggregate value. I'm not near my scanning computer so I can open the window and give you a better a better description right now....

Are you using David/HP calibration panels?
Have you opened the debug console and looked at the error values for the calibration procedure?

Re: David 5.4 Is out
The feature I really want to see is a Fu**ing undo button. Nothing like accidentally deleting part of a scan you want to keep and not having an undo to bring it back. Reload and there go all your unsaved changes.

Re: Another Engine Scan
Very nice scan. Can we know how much time did you spend to complete scan? How many single scans does this fusion contain? Also your PC must be enough powerfull to hanle this amount of data. This took about 2.5 hours. Including Setup (mounting the engine to the rotary and giving it a light coat of w...

Re: Calibration Boards
Wondering if anyone has used a service like the one at the link below for making their calibration panels on aluminum. I have the polyboard David calibration files and though fairly sturdy have question printing some that might be a bit more accurate. http://www.zno.com/metal-print.html Old Thread ...
