I am somehow disappointed about the original scan pattern because they are not aligned very well. I check the original scan pattern from a fried and also here both sides are not aligned very well. I think the HP calibration panal are not aligned perfectly.

Based on my knowledge it's not possible to use turntable with dual cameras.

Can you post a picture of the end of the extrusion? There are a number of rail/ ball heads for photography but I'd be surprised if they fit at all with the David rail. I could be wrong though.
