Thanks Micro! As soon as I finish to align the rotation I'll post some pictures.
I'll give a look at the manual of the fusion tab, before continuing..

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
I did it!
I open it and loose the lens. It works!
I made in the spare time. Still don't know how to use fusion properly.
Exciting!

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
Just received k132. Hopefully next week Imaging source dmk 236 will arrive. Together with a Cosmicar 12 mm lens (I hope its resolution will be enough, it's rated 1-2 Mpx) will provide a good start. I just made some test with logicam 270, but focus is not adjustable. (I think unless you open the case...

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
Hi guys, another question. I have on old EOS 500d with magic lantern on it. When I change T and Av live view just give me an exposure simulation. I have to press the Depth-of-field button in order to have the aperture properly set. Is there a trick for adjusting the aperture other than pressing the ...

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
Hi to All. I'm impressed about all the contribution that you can find in this and the old forum. Thanks guys! BTW my K132 and DMK 23UX236 are coming! I made my own calibration panels with scrape parts (19 mm particleboard) and printing on photographic paper with ink-jet. Not the best precision but I...

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
Thanks Avogra.
Unfortunately the lens is the only component I found used..
Will keep searching ebay auction for the projector!

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
Hi ViKtor. my question was a little bit crude, sorry! I gave a better reading of your post: I understood that camera performs better with lower wavelength, but apparently my violins should work better with longer ones. Thanks again to all for your precious support. I'm going to start from the basic ...

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
Thanks to all. Victor, I do not understand the advantage of using a blue led source on a dlp beamer. I heard that red-IR light performs better on dark, translucent surfaces affected by polarized reflection. As wooden musical instruments. So theorethically we should move to longer wavelength. And sho...

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
Well, let's say I can't put anything.. I'm sorry but it's too risky.
Has anybody tryied a DIY IR laser setup?
Or IR LED DLP Projector?

Re: Projecting an SLS system: Scanning precision
So theorethically an IR line laser with a IR sensible sensor (and IR-transparent optic) should work?
We tried with Boron - Talc Powder: not enough resolution.
For the moment it will be enough to scan unvarnished instruments or gypsuym casts.
