Re: Laser projector
I can't speak to that laser projector, but I have tried 2 so far (A Casio and an early Epson). For reasons I never took the time to figure out, surface distortion was Horrible. The scans were completely unusable. This was maybe 4 years ago, and now there are some very interesting laser base project...

Re: scan of a dental object using modified version of Flexscan3D
hi everyone😍 Today I borrowed a dental object for scanning. Actually dental components is not the field of my job, and usually I do scan for industrial big objects (40cm up to 8 meter), but as I saw some interest about dental objects, I took a try for firs time. I should mention that my hardware is...

Re: The biggest difference between HP and FlexScan3D?
I will not argue about the calibration by one frame - it, of course, has its drawbacks. But it adds another problem - the accuracy of the angle between the panels used in the calibration at HP. Unfortunately, HP found some limitations on parameter settings, and the HP flat panel calibration was too...

Re: HP 3D Scan 5.6.0 with a 3DConnexion Spacemouse?
Hi, I know there is no native support for the 3DConnexion Spacemouse in HP 3D Scan, but I wondered whether anybody had got HP 3D Scan 5.6.0 working with a Spacemouse via the ‘Rawmouse’ driverless interface plugin developed for Ultimaker Cura (https://community.ultimaker.com/topic/30852-new-plugin-r...

Re: No crosshairs on the Einscan-S structured light scanner
Since the Einscan-S is no longer supported, the only assistance I could get from Shining 3D was a trade-in offer on buying a new scanner from them. But we don't need a new scanner, we already have their Einscan Handheld Pro with the color and industrial packs, as well as the NextEngine Desktop 2020...

For some reason I have ads for that scanner clogging my Instagram feed. It looks interesting but I hat...

Re: Webinar about combination of photogrammetry and 3d scanners by Artec
Not sure if it has to go to Photogrammetry or 3d scanners section. I got an invitation to a webinar on 18th of November were Artec 3d will show how they combine both photogrammetry and 3d scanner data to get both good textures and good shape. Thought it might be interesting or maybe usefull for peo...

Re: ComXim (USB) turntables & HP 3D Scan
It's the latest release from HP (I believe they still call it David 5 - sp77433) - but they have the v4 release available as well if required. I naively hoped the software would just see a USB turntable and work, but clearly there's more to this than just some sort of standard COMM connection. My u...
