Re: David scanned by David - work in progress

Your settings are nearly identical to mine, except that I use YUY2 & Disabled (adjusted within David). All other settings are adjusted using FlyCapture before. 1) The "Quality check & Outlier removal must be adjusted to your setup (scale size, power of projector, etc...). Start low and ...

Re: David scanned by David - work in progress

Why did you install 32 bit Flycapture dsk instead of 64bit?

Anyway, your installation is correct.

Now, what do you see when you start Flycapture and THEN click "ok"? Do you have a live video stream?

Re: David scanned by David - work in progress

I can't help with IS cameras. In my setup, the adjustment made to the camera (and saved in the camera memory !) are not modified by David. If they are, I turn camera "OFF" in David (in David 4, I select "Image grabber" for example), open the camera utility, make my adjustments. C...

Re: David scanned by David - work in progress

I don't know for IS cameras. Regarding PointGrey, while the camera is "off" in David, but the projector "on" with the standard pattern, I use the Point Grey utility that displays the image from the camera (and the pattern). The utility gives full control of the camera. I make all...

Re: David scanned by David - work in progress

Since I used a small calibration panel, I scanned legs, torso and head separately. Plus a few scans from above and below. Each scan is less than 4 seconds + processing time = approx 15 minutes for the 34 scans. I don't find that 34 is a lot. It's normal. With Walther's turntable, it is quick. And al...

Re: Software Synchronization of Projector and Camera for Structured Light 3D

Micr0, Thanks for the link to the TI forum. I am uncertain about the help that synchronization could bring. I believe that David uses a "static" approach, which means that the same pattern is projected a few times before moving onto the next. In his reply: " To show you what I mean, I...

Re: Software Synchronization of Projector and Camera for Structured Light 3D

Micr0, Regarding Narmellas's Letscan, I tested a lot. I have the same camera (Canon 60D) and I could never get the same surface quality as Narmella while using the Acer K135. I came to the conclusion that part of my problem was coming from the Acer (maybe the diamond shape ?).I did purchased nearly ...
