One of the problems that I have found in stopping down a lens to try to get a larger depth of field is that that introduces refractive error that David doesn't seem to compensate for. Set all Your white balance values for Red,green, blue to a single value. Your problem with Sine wave fluctuations and dotted picture will be solved.

Update to my status, i tried with a global shutter camera and i got much better results, however i think if i can get david to project the patterns slower, i can get decent results with rolling shutter too. I have to try by increasing exposure time i think. Is there any other ways to make david proj...

that's interesting, however with larger calibration corner you have to get farther from the object and lose small details if any. How far do You plan to get from the calibration panel/ object?

Adjusrting camera aperture during scan session
I Wouldn't change the aperture once I have calibrated, however in this video, it shows he does so to tune the sine wave.(@1.42s) the video is by a David reseller, so I assume its considered standard practice for David. iS has IC Capture, however for the camera I'm trying right now, to solve my distortion problem, it doesnt save the settings. Which advance option is it that prevent david to modify cam settings? There's one for savingvsettings per user or computer, but that doesnt help and my cam settings reset ever...
