Tonights Scan project (Artec Eva Content :)

I friend of mine lent me an Artech Eva a week ago. And I've been using it with Scan Studio 12 for about a week now. Tonight I went to a friends studio and tried scanning a few of his sculptures. They range in size from about 1 sq meter to pieces that are the size small trucks. Here is a picture of o...

Re: Brio Webcam

Not sure if I messed this up or not but I scanned with a smoothness of 2 and fused with a vertex of 2000. I'm hoping you didn't mean 2 for sharpness. I haven't ever really messed with the standard Quality Check .5 and Outlier REmoval of .3%. FD Knuckle side.jpgFD Knuckle Back.jpgFD Knuckle side2.jp...

Re: Brio Webcam

best I could get scanning the corner 120mm. Could the texture be lack of uv/ir filter related? calibration corner.jpg I'd say no. That looks very good and at first glance loos about as good as I have gotten. Don't go solely by the scan of the corner. Do a few scans of something, align and fuse them...

Re: Alignment problems

Generally I can tell how good my alignment is by how well David displays the checkerboard after the calibration sequence. This is important feedback. The key is also looking at the alignment of the corners that are at the very periphery of the envelop. If they aren't perfect, Adjust the position of...

Re: Alignment problems

Depending on the scale I'm calibrating too and the shape of the scan subject, That's about right (+- .1mm~). Better If I'm really careful. Higher precision sometimes requires running the calibration sequence more than once. Micro, can I ask what you mean "Higher precision sometimes requires ru...

Re: Alignment problems

Hi. I've found something new and very useful for who has problems with alignment. I have same problem, but I'm sure it is because of Projector. I have a SHARP Projector. Never successful alignment with single camera (Over 1.5mm Deviation per 200mm object). But with dual camera it is reduced down to...
