I have been using the 3.1MP Toupcam UCMOS3100KPA USB2.0 camera for a while. With the declared 11fps, it actually gave out 7-8 (in HP3DScan) ... and it took about 40 seconds. for one scan with the "quality" setting ... :D

Re: Do3think camera

Still, what does the HP3DScan program write in the service console?
This must be enabled in the HP settings.
There are errors in this screenshot because I don't have a scanner on this computer.

Re: Do3think camera

As far as I understand, this is a very old camera (perhaps it is worth trying the drivers (M3S_USB3.0 工业 相机 _V2.50.65.683) from its more modern counterpart - M3ST130M-H)?

What is written in the Hp3DScan log window? This program uses DirectShow to operate cameras.

Re: Camera upgrade question - IR filters / shutters

Global shutter cameras are generally more versatile ... but they are extremely expensive.

Re: DLP Projector lenses - is hacking throw ratio possible?

I think the options there would be to put the cameras below or above the projector, - rotate the projector 90 degrees, and to risk destroying the projector and detach the projector light engine from the rest of the electronics. In my case, the cameras are already above the projector, with...

Re: Camera upgrade question - IR filters / shutters

I'd like to say that rolling shutters shows it's issue once you start using high resolution scans, it's an issue i have been suffering for the longest time using telescope cameras with rolling with high resolution :( I know this as it follows the camera orientation I worked with different cameras w...

Re: DLP Projector lenses - is hacking throw ratio possible?

Decreasing the minimum focusing distance is good, but, nevertheless, I would prefer to have a high throw rate in order to be able to scan small objects without moving the projector close to them. P.S. My projector without alterations can focus from a distance of 100mm (if slightly modified, then fro...

Re: Color wheel filter removal from projector

I have met protection from being turned on in the open (i.e., until the case is closed, there will be an error). I haven't heard of someone like you.

Re: DLP Projector lenses - is hacking throw ratio possible?

I've tried those lenses but they seem to introduce too much distortion into the projected image. It is possible that large diameter lenses will help reduce distortion. I tried - the further I put the lens from the projector, the smaller I can get the picture size. But due to the small diameter of t...
