Re: Control Stick

Mading, I use 120mm scale "inside corner". I turn the panels until cameras "see the same" - until RMS is equal. This case 0,07-0,08-ish on both. I tried the setting "Compensate angle between panels" It doesn't seem to affect RMS much but the scans aligned horribly. :?: ...

Control Stick

Control Stick for a fighter aircraft. Which one? Sprayed with cyclododecane. Surface not perfect but the need for no cleaning of spray after makes it ok anyway. Number of scans is more than I wished for. Stereo mode, Manual turntable (I think I like this best. "IKEA Snudda" sprayed with ma...

Re: Calibration Boards

A few mm offset in the left pattern? Is compensated for in the settings?

Will try to understand more this afternoon (while watching football, Sweden vs Switzerland!).
I have a couple of ball-heads for photography and am thinking about to use them for my camereas for a really
flexible setup.

:)

Re: Calibration Boards

Mading,

What happens if you turn the panel just a little clockwise?
Looks like that panel picture #2 is the camera with higher RMS Error. Correct?

Re: Calibration Boards

Quick test today with homemade panel. Milled angles, 3mm glass and just office paper in the laser printer. I enlarged the 3 circles a bit and this acually decreased the RMS Error to the 0,28-range (from 0,33-0,35) 100mm scale. Then I tried to decrease distance a bit and the error increases with shor...

Re: Calibration Boards

Again,

Received the original HP-panels today. First try att the 120mm scale.
The 6 big circles seems much bigger than the prinouts, Is this a factor in getting these (see picture)
error values?

Re: Calibration Boards

µ and all, I havn't measured the machine itself (Old fashion Aciera F3) but it is the most acurate I (or my friends) have. I checked the finished panel with a calibrated (OK!) "angle hook". and i seems very acurate. I think we have a nice digital angle guage at work and maybe I try this on...
