Re: Projector recommendations
Hello! I have LG PF1500G (06/2018). Minimum focal length is 29cm with 21*12cm pictures size. If I need to reduce the focal length, I can use lenses in front of the projector (Macro Close Up Lens filter +1+2+4+10 for Nikon from aliexpress). For example with a +2 lens, I can get 20cm focal length wit...

Re: car key
Nice work :-) The violin back looks like good calibration/scan meshing. Regarding the David cal panels, I always wondered how exactly they were made. I didn't start getting >.20 RMS error in calibrating till I made panels on the VMC. A fairly new VMC that had had a true positional accuracy of ~.000...

Re: 33UX264 camera, advice needed
When you get in to the higher resolution cameras lenses become a very important factor with David. Even though David can calibrate around some lens distortion, it it far better to have a little of it as possible to start with. One of the problems with very high resolution cameras (4K+) is that the ...

Re: 3D capture stage (turntable) on David SW
Hello, I get up using the Sprout G2 for 3D scanning (buggy USB3 controller and my hi-res cameras freezing). But I would like to use the turnatble for my hi-res setup. Well, I thought it would be easy, but it is not or I do something wrong. So I'm trying to install the 3D capture stage driver and Da...

Re: 33UX264 camera, advice needed
I have recently tested this camera. Works fine with David software but You have to install a DirecShow drivers and libraries from their SDK. The camera has a crazy lot of options that changes the resulting quality a lot. But very significant are the chosen lenses. Comparing to the other setup with ...

Re: Kreon laser Scanner
I am a beginner with 3d scanning and i recently scanned a simple flange using a kreon 7-axes arm with blue laser. However the resuting geometry of scan data (as shown in attachment) is not very accurate. I have seen people getting very good results with 3d scanning, while mine is clearly not. Is th...

Re: A few scans
Those are very sharp scans. Have you looked at the RMS error value on your calibration. Just curious what numbers you get?

Re: A few scans
@erol Really very nice! But how do you use the turntable with dual cameras? Based on my knowledge it's not possible to use turntable with dual cameras. Would be great if you have solution for his. Thanks Why do you say this? He appears to be using the David turntable which is sold with the 2 camera...
