Re: DIY Calibration panels for HP/David
If your application is something like a laser or FDM 3D printer with virtually no lateral force on the head, then yes. However, if you are trying to push a cutting tool into a material like on a router, the structure needs to be far more rigid/massive, and stepper suffer proportionally. We've used t...

Re: Few questions about ScanCenter
This is my 3D printed projector mount. It has an adjustable inclination to accommodate different projectors.

Re: Shining 3D ue11 vs handyscan black elite
You guys familiar with scantech kacan magic? That’s another one I was looking at Never seen one IRL, but if it is in the same price range as the Creaform, then I'd pass. The sample meshes they offer are no where near as good as the samples I've seen from the Creaform. BTW what are the parts that yo...

Re: Shining 3D ue11 vs handyscan black elite
Hi my names Shawn, I have a small cnc machine and custom to lite fabrication shop here in texas. I’m wanting to branch out and start making lift kits and parts in general for sizes by sides/recreational off-road vehicles and revers engineering. A 3D scanner will be a huge time saver and cost less m...

Re: Real Moving objects to virtual 3d engine
There is software for this. It's done in the movies all the time. you essentially use a 3D scan to create the base model of the subject, then use kinematic tracking software with Ai to map the movements of the video to the 3D model. Once you have a model you can then also have the computer control i...

Re: 3D Laser Scanning and modelling of a Old Residential House
Cool. Thanks. I'd like to see more of the "reverse engineering" process for architectural projects like this. Whats the work flow once the scan/point cloud is created.

Re: Turbine housing scanned with FlexScan3D
New scan of my favorite test subject! I've been learning a bit more about the camera settings and adjusting accordingly. Very happy with the results. This is a precise merge, no post smoothing applied. Mesh alignment only, no markers were used. Looking back at the previous scan of this object, I ca...

I don't know either of those projectors. I have an AAXA p7 and it works great.

Re: Questions about RV Daheng low distortion lens for David SLS-2 projector K132
Thanks a lot. Maybe you are right. It`s more the matter of cutting distorted areas than what I`ve written above about the curvature of the lens itself. So probably I should wait for Daheng Cameras and use one of them with my High-quality 12MP Tamron to see how it works in David and long thin object...
