Re: Oteck's Arca swiss style setup

I think the moment you start using higher resolution is when you start using MFT, SLR, and mirrorless camera glass. Recently i picked up a pair of 25mm c-mount for a 1:1 2.8" but it's way too narrow. it may be good for macro but this would require some hefty up close lens for the projector. Is ...

Re: Oteck's Arca swiss style setup

the current zoom i started with was a 2.8-8mm 1/2.7" so the scale doesn't really work for me. I'm not sure but i believe cs and c share the same type of sensor with the difference of flange distance to the sensor. With a 5-50mm 1/3" on the way I'll have a more accurate scale to work with b...

Re: Oteck's Arca swiss style setup

That's what I'm thinking too, the projector pattern files are something low res like 800x600 so if it's true you don't need a high resolution at all and just have a smaller aperture lens to have more focused/sharper zebra stripes projected. These things are suppose to project to a flat wall so depth...

Re: Oteck's Arca swiss style setup

It can be cheap if you shop wisely and buy what you need unlike me who just bought stuff for the sake of "just in case" most the pieces are sub 5 to 20 dollars while the rails vary in lenght, Out of all the pieces i think the panorama clamp and the swivel arms are the most costly aside fro...

Re: Oteck's Arca swiss style setup

I did say my setup is like lego no? My 2nd Kurokesu C1 camera came so it's semi complete minus the correct lens. Saulius Lukse who sold me the camera sending me a replacement rear cover so it can have the etching on it. It would bug the hell out of me if this setup isn't as symmetrical as possible T...

Re: Desk Scan Lever Arm

I had that once and returned it, the shaft has so much play it isn't worth it. See my setup and it can be done with any swivel arm

Re: Oteck's Arca swiss style setup

Idealy i'd really like to machine a shaft so i can mount that swivel arm into a heavy duty video tripod with wheels so i can scan large size objects like cars on the go. But i'm worried about the balance so placing a HTPC and UPS at the base ought to secure it. My 2nd C1 camera came from Kurokesu bu...

Glad some of the veterans are making their way back! I notice were using the same tripod lol

I need to save up on a much more heavy duty video tripod one day since the slik it's prone to wobble with 2 legs up

Silicone quick cast

I've had my fair share of manufacturing before I started researching into 3d scanning. Most my previous work was mostly hand measured by hand so it wasn't the most accurate. Prototyping was expensive since there was much adjusting done after a series of revision Solids for the said project, done mos...
