Re: Projector lenses etc.

I have a few Canon lens. I tried today to put them in front of the lens of the Acer K135, just to see what would happen. The only lens that could provide a clear image was a 70-300 mm. The focus point was at 200mm when the front of the lens was at 33 cm from the wall. The square with the adjustment...

Re: Show your DIY Calibration board

Hi Oteck, These are my DIY calibration boards. The top and bottom brackets are CNC milled from a solid piece of aluminum, to give it a true 90 degree angle. The boards them-self are 6mm aluminum plate with a 45 degree angle on one edge, allowing the two plates to butt up to each other. When I did my...

Re: Reverse Engineering

Hi All,

I'm surprised that no one has replied, knowing many of you have engine parts scanned. So if no one is reverse engineering their engine part scans, what are the scans for?

Reverse Engineering

Hi All, I've seen on this forum, as was as the old David forum, many of you have scanned engine parts. So my first question is to you all is, do any of you go further with your scans and reverse engineer from them to a CAD file? If so, my next question is, what software do you use to reverse enginee...

Hi Walter, Here are my two printers . . . so far. IMG_2789.JPG On the left is a Mankati XT and the right is a Flashforge Creator Pro 2016. Both printers have a lot of mods added, more so to the Mankati XT. The sailing ship was printed on the Creator Pro. The new resin printer is this one: https://ww...

Mongrels Setup

Hi All, This is my setup that I've just finished and produced my first scan . . . for my wife. IMG_3256.JPG IMG_3257.JPG I designed and 3D printed the mounts for the cameras and LED projector. I also designed a custom turntable top plate for my David TT1 turntable. It screws right onto the top plate...
