Re: Alignment problems

Hi. Is there any New Solution. I've just tested a new Projector. but with no improvement.
most errors occur in depth, not in a narrow range of depth or a plane zone.

Re: Alignment problems

For me, the calibration checkered pattern is jagged and can't be jugged if it crosses the center of calibratiom circles. Using LG full hd tho, its smooth. Maybe its a good idea to print the center point in different color to get better idea of the calib precision. If your Projected Check Board is J...

Re: Alignment problems

Generally I can tell how good my alignment is by how well David displays the checkerboard after the calibration sequence. This is important feedback. The key is also looking at the alignment of the corners that are at the very periphery of the envelop. If they aren't perfect, Adjust the position of...

Re: Alignment problems

Depending on the scale I'm calibrating too and the shape of the scan subject, That's about right (+- .1mm~). Better If I'm really careful. Higher precision sometimes requires running the calibration sequence more than once. Micro, can I ask what you mean "Higher precision sometimes requires ru...

Re: Alignment problems

Hi. I've found something new and very useful for who has problems with alignment. I have same problem, but I'm sure it is because of Projector. I have a SHARP Projector. Never successful alignment with single camera (Over 1.5mm Deviation per 200mm object). But with dual camera it is reduced down to ...

Re: Data Comparison DAVID4.5.3 VS DAVID 5.2

Hi It seems you have better scans using 5.2. Shots are completely aligned. but in 4.5 as we can see single colors locally, but in all of part area, I think there are waves on each shots. Can I know more about your setup and equipments. Single or dual Camera? What Projector and Camera type? Please sh...

even with warmed projector, I have distorted scans. I'm sure keystone in set to 0, and my projector do not have corner compensation. as a test, I changed the projector mode to "border mode" and resize the image size. in this mode I can change the image position and it is possible to me to ...

Re: Projector error and solution

thanks for your reply.
it is DLP Technology and with halogen lamp. I don't know 3beam design. what do you mean 3 beam design?
mine is: halogen lamp ==> light tunnel ==> color wheel ==> mirror ==> plastic lens ==> DMD ==> Projection lens
also I've removed color wheel.
