Re: Handheld scan of a pot

Mading, The hardware is compatible with Basler cameras only. Handheld scanning requires some seriously fast fps cameras too which really narrows down the choices... And due to shortages and the state things are in right now, I was extremely lucky to have been able to find a pair of cameras(although ...

It's not perfect but I still wanted to share! Still need to make some changes but the results...

Re: Color vs Monochrome Cameras

This single scan also has a bit of a rainbow effect. According to the Basler documentation, PGI should help eliminate this as well.

Re: Color vs Monochrome Cameras

So I got a good deal on some used Basler color cameras to see for myself. Here are the results :D The results are "OK" but it is evident that FS3D isn't using the PGI processing available with Basler cameras. I was able to verify this after installing PylonViewer. Even after setting Demosa...

Color vs Monochrome Cameras

Hello everyone,

I was curious if anyone had experience using color machine vision cameras vs monochrome for 3d scanning?

I know typically monochrome is recommended but what exactly are the downsides to using color cameras?

Re: Markers Alignment error with Flexscan3D

I did try to a couple of quick small scans using marker alignment. No crashes on my end though. FlexScan3D version 3.3.22.2.

Re: Structured light 3d scanner with Daheng cameras (MER2-630-60U3M)?

Basler Ace acA3088-57um has rolling shutter and is not recommended for 3d scanning with FlexScan3D.

Is there a particular reason you chose this camera?

Re: Markers Alignment error with Flexscan3D

I do have a FS3D license. I'm using the latest released version as well. I don't have the same cameras, but they are IS cams with global shutter.. I'll give it shot soon
