Re: DAVID5 / HP3DScan5 Free-to-Use Version :-)
Hello, A few years ago, HP has stopped releasing software updates for the DAVID5 / HP3DScan5 software. Here's some good news for old (and new) users: Update 5.7 removes the copy protection , so that no USB Dongle or license file is required anymore. It may be a bit hard to find, so here's the link ...

Laser Projectors and Throw Ratio
One of the reasons the LG PF1500 was (is) such a good projector was that aside form a square DLP array, it also had a variable throw that better accommodated our camera lenses than many of the current short throw projector current;y on the market. However I see some of the new 4K projectors, especia...

Re: AI depth map estimation for meshroom
Hi, I was recently doing a photoscan of a bin using Meshroom, as you do. And was looking at the amount of time spent on depth map estimation for each image. Re: FlexScan3D modified Version (perfect support for Directshow and WebCam)
This is very interesting. Bought a relatively inexpensive cannon DSLRs to try with "lets scan", Which assembled high resolution still captures of the projected David SLS pattern. The resolution and detail were great, However the process was extremely slow. This also now accesses the quali...
