Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
I adjusted the PointGrey from 2048 x 1536 to 1920 x 1080. The frame rate jumped from 34 fps to 60 fps. I guess its a bandwidth limitation. Question: I have the impression the 2048 x 1536 / 121 fps /Global shutter cameras are nearly the same price as the 1920 x 1080 cameras. Is there a reason not to ...

Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
Thanks.
If I don't find a solution shortly, I will sell one Point grey and purchase one DMK 33UX252.
I don't know if the Point Grey is slower since it's resolution is 50% more. It could also be due to some other hardware issue.
Anyway, the Imaging Source sounds good.

Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
No comments on the Ziptie, My long hours with David have destroyed my sens of humour... ;) A question for Basler and Imaging Source Industrial camera users: With one PointGrey camera driver (directshow) directly in David, I can set YUY2 instead of RGB24. This increases the capture frame rate from 20...

Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
Thanks.
I guess I am out of luck.
Since ImagingSource has the same camera using the same Sony chip (DMK 33UX252, identical resolution and FPS), if the price is not too high, I will try to sell one of the PointGrey and purchase that one.

Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
Bad news for me: Answer from PointGrey: "I understand this will cause issues with your David software. Unless they have another interface like a USB3 Vision interface or a Point Grey wrapper to work with the camera, I do not believe there is a solution we can offer you at the moment for multipl...

Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
While waiting for an answer from PointGrey, I decided to try to use David 5 with two different cameras and two different resolutions. PointGrey : 2048 x 1536 (Minolta 50 mm macro) GH4: 1920 x 1080 (12-35 VARIO lens) David can be very frustrating but also very amazing. Photos, stereo extended mode sca...

Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
Thanks. When you first installed the two cameras, were they immediately available in David 5 ? I just made a quick test with the GH4 in fullhd and one PointGrey. The GH4 provides a smoother surface, less line artifacts. The PointGrey scan is sharper on the details (probably because of the 2018 x 153...

Re: Pointgrey Grasshopper3 3.2 MP
Nightmare weekend with David, like in the "good" old days. I received my two PointGrey cameras. I purchased because: I saw the great results Micr0 was getting with machine vision cameras I wanted to use David 5 with two cameras, and did not want to purchase a second HDMI capture card and a...

Re: Projector lenses etc.
I hope I am not to much off topic, but have a look at this article : https://www.osapublishing.org/oe/viewmedia.cfm?uri=oe-19-24-24657&seq=0 I found it when I was looking for the best but low cost solution for perfect projection of patterns. I don't think it exists as a stand alone product, but ...
