Adjusrting camera aperture during scan session

I Wouldn't change the aperture once I have calibrated, however in this video, it shows he does so to tune the sine wave.(@1.42s) the video is by a David reseller, so I assume its considered standard practice for David. Does anyone change the aperture during scans here?

No, never.

Once calibrated, I don't touch focus, angle or f-stop.
