Here is an interesting alternative to Magnaflux developer, spray chalk and other coatings for scanning.

Expensive at $65/can, but I wonder how long it lasts and how many objects you can get out of one can?

I haven’t tried special spray sprays for matting surfaces yet (and haven’t encountered mating in general yet), but we have the price of such a spray can (450ml) $13 (Nabakem Mega Check) to $22 (400ml) like that

I have a bottle of Helling as well. Great but it must be washed off.
Cyclododecan vanishes. Automagically

True but how fast? The spray in the video is very slow to vanish giving you time to scan.

Cyclododecan behaves much like the product in the clip. Vanishes in a day or two.
My first guess was that it is the same. For 65 USD/can it is a bargain compared to Kremer Cyclododecan.

REFLECON® tarnish - different options - both self-disappearing and simple. Do not contain cyclododecane.
But! the description indicates either "incompatibility with varnishes and some plastics" or "limited compatibility"
What is not entirely clear if you watch
this video - where the object consists of the most diverse materials.

Too curious.
I ordered a test bottle AESUB and got a quote for 300 Euros / 12pcs.
O lot cheaper than cyclododecan!

Tested AESUB and it works fine. It was gone over night. Cyklododekan takes longer.
The surface finish of AESUB is smoother. I will order a box of cans.
