Hello,
I have the following problem:
I am scanning using an HP (former David) 3D scanner, with 3D Scan Pro 5.6.0.software.
After scanning and fusing, I get an orange skin like surface (see the attached image).
Could you please help with an advice?
Many thanks

Re: Orage skin like surfacce
Hi,
would you mind to show the scans before fusion?
is it just a small portion of a big scan?

As a turn-around, If dimensions are not critical you could smooth it in postprocessing with GOM inspect or other free tools (it a better job than HP3D).
IMO it's not an extremely orangy scan.
I would try a better alignments and see if it helps.
Wich kind of surface is it? Ceramic?
Would you mind to share a picture of it?

At the moment I do not have a picture of the object. It is a pipe (steel).
Smoothing (in Siemens NX) do not change significantly.
Thank you

Re: Orage skin like surfacce
Have you covered the object with any matting compound before scanning? The scanning software can interpret the "color" difference as roughness.
P.S. I once had a similar result when scanning a dark object with sufficiently "noisy" (signal-to-noise ratio) cameras

Yes, the object was painted with a white paint, but I suspect it was not enough.
Thank you. I will o=probably rescan
