Baby Powder for Scanning

There are some object that client don't allow spray, such as new car, heritage object. Then what would you do?

Baby power would be the best choice. Below is the Benz tire scanned by Thunk3D handheld scanner Fisher with baby powder.

I use chalk. It looks like a significant imparted surface roughness in those scans.
