David 5 VS Flexscan3d

Post by erapip »

Recently im trying to compare the softwares using exactly the same setup to see the differences. It looks thad David has little problem with reflective materials (even without spray) than Flex.
The quality of Single scan in Flex is still superior.

Anyone has tested them?

Are you using both software with the same hardware? Does LMI offer a demo of flex that you can use with your own hardware as David does?

Is there any possibility to test the early version of Flexscan?
Before i choosed david you could find some informations about flexscan with customized hardware (even dslr), but then they switched over to specialized hardware due to quality and implementation issues. afterwards is was getting silent around flexscan as customized solution.
(my impression)

hope (HP)david leaves the choice of hardware open in future versions!

So the current version (3.2.2) won't work with user supplied hardware? I was hoping to try it out and see how it compared.

FlexScan3D* optimizes the 3D scanning workflow––from capturing scans, to building scans into a digital 3D model, to cleaning the model with advanced post-processing capabilities.

* FlexScan3D software is only sold with our HDI scanner hardware.

Hello NARMELLA,

I'm using UI-1480-C, camera FUJINON HF12.5HA-1B (1:1.4/12.5mm). In MAX resolution the fps are low but for me is OK.
