Is it necessary? No. Does it help? Yes. Think of it this way, the more variables you remove from the system the fewer things that can go wrong.

Hi,

after adding a second camera to my setup and producing quite satisfying result in single scans with "Extended View", I tried some "Automatic Turntable" scans with my TT-1 at the weekend and found only one camera active (at least the resulting point cloud was obviously only from the perspective of one of my cameras). The "Extended ..." option is gone when I select this type of scans.

What does the second camera do in a tuntable sequence?
