Is out. tried it tonight. I did get seemingly very usable calibration with Optimize on. It may be fixed? Ill have to try more tests but here is a sample of what I did tonight. The cabinet knob is about 50mm 22mm.

Extended mode or stereo mode ?

If extended mode, do you still need to adjust a1 to a2 , b1 to b2, etc...

Thanks,
Jeff

This was done in stereo mode with the Optimize dual camera function on. FWIW this is the first time I have gotten even usable results with Optimize on.

Today, I played a lot with dualcam calibration in the new version. I'm using a setup, where one camera is left of the beamer and one is above. I think, they improved multicam optimization. But I still get better results, when I disable two settings in advanced options and instead dial in the shortcomings of my calibration panels by hand:

That seems to be the only way to get better than 0,1 degree:

With the two options enabled, the result is between 89,5 and 90,5 degree. That is similar to what I got from 5.1.0.

What seems to be much improved is robustness. No single crash in 5 hours :D

Has anyone used min/max depth?

I always wondered, what is the origin to which those numbers are referenced. I tried that too and in dualcam it is the first camera, somewhere inside the lens.
