Here are a couple of screen grabs of a Ducati Penigale Head I scanned for a friend yesterday.

Re: Ducati Scans
Great scans. How many polygons did you get in the model?
(Yesterday I scanned the cover of a conventional electrical outlet - each of the 16 "raw" scans had about 3 million polygons)

Uau!
If it's not a secret, why did your friend wanted a scan? For creating something around it?

Re: Ducati Scans
I haven't imported these scans into any other, and I don't know how to get a poly count from David. Never tried before. Decimated the file was about 100mb. That said, David's decimation routine is extremely primitive. Geomagic has a lot of intelligence and control built in to decimation. I'm going to try mesh mixer when I get the chance.OBNRacerMan wrote: ↑10 Jan 2020, 15:57 Great scans. How many polygons did you get in the model?

HP3Dscan has a small button showing the properties of an object (or detailed information on several objects, if selected)

Re: Ducati Scans
Thanks for pointing out this.
I use GOM inspect for decimation. Far better than HP3D, and according to a colleague easier than Geomagic and with more consistent results. And free.
