Turbo Snail scanned with Flexscan3D
Re: Turbo Snail scanned with Flexscan3D
That is really a good example for reverse engineering organic surfaces
Nice scan Alonso.
Which camera are you using? IS or a new one?

Still on the IS. There has been zero interest in my cameras.
It's ok as there is obviously nothing wrong with them anyway

And then we 3d print the scan, naturally!
The scan had to be modified slightly to address overhangs in a couple areas. Now it's fully printable without the use of any supports.

Re: Turbo Snail scanned with Flexscan3D
Hi Alonso.
Was a nice result.
Is it possible to explaine more about your hardware and "flexscan3d" ?
Thanks.
Re: Turbo Snail scanned with Flexscan3D
Narmella,
FlexScan3D is the software I'm using instead of HP/David-3D.
Hardware wise I'm using IS 3.1mp cameras with global shutter, 12mm lenses, 1080p dlp projector
