i purchased balls with a known sphere diameter of 20mm measured with micrometer. I've done similar by scanning standards used to calibrate micrometers and have found similar if slightly larger deviations. I've also used a Zeiss CMM. to measure objects after I've scanned them and confirmed that, depending on the calibration, I could consistently expect about 0.01mm. However, I was not using flex scan. I was using David.
