Worm gear reducer
The screws are shiny so they are not on the scan, like the output shafts are. They make no benefit so I just let david to patch them during fusion. Scanned with acer k135i + nikon d3300.

Re: Worm gear reducer
Thanks! With the calibration boards made of mirrors and oracal printed film on them, the alignment and fusion became real simple and nice.
I use Nikon via blackmagic shuttle usb3.0.

Nice results!
What lens do you use? What about camera parameters, f-stop, ISO, aperture, etc?
Can you show a live capture image of the scene?
Thanks!

Re: Worm gear reducer
The lens is nikkor 18-105 at a little bit more than 35mm. 1/30 sec, iso 400, f13, monochrome preset with sharpness set to +6, 1080p 30 frames/sec, all enhacers like d-lightning, denoise etc. shut off, wb set to flash preset. Now I can not show you the live scene 'cause the scanning is already done.

Re: Worm gear reducer
here is the fusion result of 8 scans of the crown drill. needed to scan it's teeth to find out what is the angle of sharpening. The setup is nikon d3300 via blackmagic and acer k135i. The roughness on the bottom is the rust
P.S. the diameter of drill is 49мм
