Hello everyone,
Please advise me on the selection of a 3D scanner for our company, which manufactures door systems for light rail vehicles. We currently use a touch arm to measure and inspect parts, but have found this method to be too slow for our needs. So we are looking for a more modern alternative that will allow us to collect data faster and more accurately.
We are moving into the European market, so I approached a couple of distributors who offer this equipment.
Does anyone have experience with these devices and could possibly share their experience?

Re: Choosing the right device for 3D scanning
Hi,
I've seen the SIMSCAN 42 in actions at some sites and also seen it at some exhibitions over the past year. It is a great system, very fast data collection and nice accurate data. Plus, it's very very small - it fits nice and snug in your hand and away you go?
What size are the parts you are wanting to scan?

I'm assuming you are a ScanTech rep. Can you post some price ranges and sample 3D (stl, or obj etc) files for these new scanners?3DWork111 wrote: ↑06 Sep 2024, 09:03 Hi,
