Scanning Human Face

Hi everyone
what is the best scanner for human faces? I want to make some figures from real human face and heads.
is there any method to scan hairs?

Hair is difficult. Especially hair that has any kind of volume to it. I scanned some of my family and wound up half modeling the hair. As for scanners, any one of the handhelds probably. The only recent one I've played with is the Simscan, and that is probably more than you want to spend.

There is still a very strong dependence on hairstyles ... I somehow tried my son to scan ferret-and there the hair turned out well there.
