Hello expert people !
Can anyone advise the simplest (and cheapest) equipment that would be needed to measure two , very long irregular but shallow trenches - running close to each other. plus the width between each trench. Much like a railway track or car tracks left in the sand.
I don't need the volume - only the width (and preferably the depth) of each trench. I'm completely new to this but was thinking photogrammetry - either hand held as I walk along or by drone - would be quicker than measuring the width and depth at regular points with a laser measuring tool?
Any advise would be appreciated.
Thank you !

Re: trench measurement
Should have also mentioned there are more than one pair of trenches - so overall quite a distance to do with a laser measurer.
