New setup

Post by Sungam »

Hi,

Planning a new setup, primarly for mid-large size objects such as car parts.
The idea is to use HP Scan 5.7, as it's now available without licence.
Camera(s):
Daheng MER2-630-60U3M seems to be a afforable camera. Should work with at least single-cam, any one know if the MER2-630-60U3M is possible with HP Scan 5.7?
Lens:
Does not yet know a suitable lens, any suggestions?
Projector:
Projector will be a second-hand DLP. Is it worth the extra money for a 1080p or should I put them on anything else?

Will be very grateful for suggestions and advice. Looking forward to share the bild and scans here on the form

To work with HP3Dscan, it is better to find older cameras - MER-630-60U3M. With newer MER2-630-60U3M cameras there may be problems with the inability to configure them from the program.
In any case, for the correct operation of two (even the old model) cameras in this program, you will need the old Daheng driver - Galaxy_Windows_EN_32bits-64bits_1.5.1911.9202 (you can download it here)
Soft: RangeVision DIY, Calibration panel/Rotary tables - RangeVision, Prj: LG PF1500G, Cam: Daheng Mercury MER2-630-60U3M-L (USB3.0, monochrome) x2, Obj: ZLKC FM12036MP5 (F2.8/5Mp/12-36mm) x2. And a handheld scanner Creality Ferret

for lenses, check for 12mm or 16mm MV lenses, it must match with sensor type of cameras.

Thanks for great input and the link! Unfortunatelly the MER seems hard to find, MER2 are much easier to source and also cheaper.

So ZLKC VM1228MP10 might be a good option? https://www.zlkc.com.cn/en/list.php?pi ... 43&tty=138
