How to 3D scan an electrical circuit so that the current paths can be extracted?

Post by mgpell »

I would like to scan a coil of wire (used for generating magnetic and electric field with RF) for the purposes of simulation. The wire elements sometimes overlap. For a representation of what the coil roughly looks like (albeit in a different context) , please see the following image: https://www.reddit.com/r/LifeProTips/co ... ent_kinks/

Can you please advise as to a way to extract the contiguous current path from the resulting point cloud?

thanks

you can scan the coil and re design it in a CAD software and use the result in any simulation software
