Hi Thomas,

This is great news to hear that you are considering a pricing option/market twoards DIY/smaller users. This is perfect and i'm very much interested.

FlexScan3D was actually the software i discovered about 11 years ago when i was first discovering the world of 3D scanning and my ability to try and achieve it myself without having or mortgage a house loan! YOu guys sold it to the DIY market back then with custom hardware and DSLRs etc But it was way to expensive for the software even then so hopefully its a serious intent to price it more competitively (without hacking down its feature-set and wasting its hard development work and not having users be able to use it). FlexScan3D was the very first software i used and managed to get actual scans. IT was unreal!

I've managed to get a single Basler camera. YOu've mentioned that you dont support a single camera. Does this mean i wouldn't be able to get it to work with a single camera or that it may work just not as well? iF you could explain that further i may try to contact for a trial to give it a test.

Thanks for joining this forum, it'd be great to have your company active here!

That was a long long time ago... - we did some early DIY sales back then, but quickly switched to industrial applications - Hopefully by offering FS3D back in to the market, we can give people who previously used David a new option. Glad to be here.

Sounds great! For the DIY/Maker market it mainly comes down to cost, i guess. So let's see what you come up with when your software is ready to be released...

I'm currently using a DIY rig with 720p dlp projector and a single 5mpix USB3 UVC camera. I read that your intention is to support dual-camera setups only. Does that mean that single-camera setups are non-functional with Flex3D or is the scanning quality/accuracy "just" lower?

And as last question:
Does Flex3D support markers to make alignment of large numbers of scans easier?

Single works but it’s unsupported nor recommended officially. - Markers are supported also as previously mentioned.

Hi contactpolyga
I've sent an email to polyga support to request for an evaluation version of Flex to test it with IS cameras. but after some days didn't get any reply. how much does it take to receive it? I'm going to buy two pieces of camera and wanna to test them before payment to make sure they can be recognized by Flex.

Thank you for let me try FlexScan3D.
Is it possible to connect my self made turntable controlled by Arduino Uno?
And if so, how?

Many thanks.

Connecting your custom arduino turntable is going to require a custom sketch to communicate with FS3D.

This is the only info I could find on the subject
https://forum.arduino.cc/index.php?topic=310053.0

And of course, this will also require you to read the manual.
There is a section in there about the API that could be used
https://www.polyga.com/wp-content/uploa ... Scan3D.pdf

Also Included with the software are Visual Studio project files if you're good with C++/C#

Thank you.
It's too hard for me, I am not an IT specialist.
Isn't there a sketch for Arduino Uno that I just have to adapt?
