Hi all,
Thanks to the users who sent us their Imaging Source cameras over Christmas, we did a quick scan the David IS cameras via DirectShow drivers, probably will take some time to polish off the drivers and to release a new version at the end of the month for anyone with IS cameras to try.

Thanks. Looking forward to trying Flex with my full David rig. The point grey camera I have is very old and I haven't been able to get it to work with my scanning computer.

Hi all,
The beta implementation of the IS driver is done. If you've received a demo of the software, you'll need a new version. Please email our support email to get a beta FS3D build to test it with your Imaging Source / HP system. It's our initial pass so we do expect some rough edges and bugs, but just let us know and we'll try to fix it for you.

I got the chance to play around with Flex last night. I did what is best described as a HalfAssed calibration (I wasn't very careful, and didn't complete the capture of all the positions). The system did calibrate and returned a result of 89%. Even with that figure I was surprised at the quality of the scans I was getting right off the bat. Most of the time I spent last night was learning my way around the software interface. I'm still learning the quirks but was able to get a decent final fused mesh. I have bunch of questions but I'll wait till after I can play with the software some more before I post them. The most important one right now however is: Is there any way to change the color of the final mesh? Both the highlight (selected) color and or the nominal (Grey)? I really don't like the Red.

It’s all somewhere in advanced settings... maybe..
it’s changeable for sure just don’t remember where.
