What is the difference between the lite and standard versions?

We'll have a website going up within the week with a table showing the differences, in general - lite has all the basic tools up for scanning, alignment, merging, mesh editing etc..

Full will include all the extra tools needed for commercial applications such as measurement, mesh deviation, texture processing, ball bar tuning, multi system control, etc..

Please keep ball bar tuning in Lite. :)

Both the non-commercial and the subscription license seem to be reasonably priced. Thank you for keeping our DIY/David rigs alive :)

Will you still offer a trail/demo version (for ex. 3-4 days, just to see if the hardware is compatible with Flex3D) or is it replaced by the subscription license?

Any trial requests from forum members will be given 30 day evals for probably the next month or so... after that we'll ask people to do a 1 month sub for testing since it's alot of tech support time. We're trying to keep the price reasonable for DIY'ers while not making our commercial customers mad.

On the ballbar tuning, if you can afford a nice ball bar.. that's not really a personal project  if you need that functionality micro, we're happy to make an exception just for you.

Congratulations!
Looking forward to see the specs.

Ball bar was lost in translation! :D

I think it's important to keep advanced scanner settings opened in lite, such as fringe patterns or anything that can help tuning the projector/cameras work.
Rolling shutter cameras are the most probable diyers choice, and the more subjected to artifacts.

Turntable is another plus, even a simple DIY arduino (or other controller such as the USB Polulu) that can be driven with a character on the serial port makes the difference.

Metrology, mesh editing, texture mapping and other tasks can be performed with other free softwares such as meshlab or GOM inspect.

Thanks for the trial, any forum launch discount will be appreciated!

Somewhere, among the discussion posts, information slipped through that now this program sees UVC cameras (the person wrote, trying to check with other cameras that only the built-in laptop camera is visible) - is this true?
If UVC cameras are supported, then it will make sense for me to ask for a trial version (since I have several cameras of this type)

Both the AA or Moons motors support Serial communication which FS3D has built in drivers, as well as for the several other low cost chips. https://www.pololu.com/product/3132 - has native FS3D support and is a $30 controller, so for DYI any of those are simple solutions.
