We've clocked in at 0.015 seconds, so doing 0.1 seconds (depending on the camera) is no problem. -

We are waiting for it :-)
Hardware triggering cameras it's an interesting topic, missing both in HP3D and Rangevision.

Handheld DIY scanners? Why not!

I don't see where anyone has asked about the price. I'm looking to upgrade my dated projector but I have rolling shutter point grey cameras. Just wondering if it's completely out of my price range or if I may be able to upgrade both with a little time.

Thanks!

First post - love the forum!

Of course we are interested in both the performance and price.
Looking forward to see pokyga's video!!

I promise this week!! - Sorry for the delay but missing cameras -= :|

On the price, for DIYer's we will offer it as low as we can. Unfortunately I think we can only offer a limited run at a low price when we do a volume order. Cost estimate is probably between $750 to $1500 depending on the final configuration and features, ( with enclosure or without etc..)

Thanks for reply.
As I pointed out earlier, one interesting feature (for me) is triggering cameras. Something I never explored since I worked only with rolling shutter and HP3D-RV.

On the other side there's the control of the light.
I'm scanning dark and reflective (polarized direct reflection) surfaces: wood varnished with transparent layers.
A nightmare of refraction/reflection. Surfaces from matt to gloss.

Does the projector uses only white light? Is blue light possible?
Is the brightness enough for the big calibration panels and dark objects?

Last but not least :-)
is it possible/practical to trigger global shutter basler cameras with a normal HDMI projector such as the well used LGPF1500?

As promised, i made a quick video... https://imgur.com/9Lc7nZS

And yes, without a tripod you can use it handheld, but in this case there was just not much time... this is a complete 13 frame scan @ maybe 6 or 8 FPS....

No, there's no way to do this at a high speed, given unknown delays in Video Cards, HDMI processing, and Windows.....

Really impressive!!!
Looking forward to hear the specs on the light source (white/monochrome/brightness).
I see green light here.

Thanks for your kind and fast reply.
That is really a huge step forward in DIY.
