Since the camera is working in other applications the problem is with David. Probably a driver/direct show issue IMO. DID you try uninstalling and re installing David? when you uninstall make sure it is completely uninstalled. Then when reinstalling make sure all components are installed. You can also try getting the redistributables directly from Microsoft. I cant remember whether it's the .net or some other redistributable but one of them has given me a problem in the past (though not with David IIRC).

I think I can say that the ptoblem is solved. I've noticed that i have many versions of net.framework on notebook, so i've deleted some newer versions (4.6..)and camera started working.
Thanks for help!

I think a lot of people get intimidated by the hardware side of 3D scanning before they even start.
For anyone just starting out or needing to digitize reference sketches/textures for their models, I've found it's sometimes easier to start with simple web tools rather than heavy software. I’ve been using this lately for quick captures- https://thetoolapp.com/camera-scanner-online/ - it’s surprisingly handy for getting clean, flat scans of reference material through a browser without needing a dedicated flatbed or a complex app.
Once you get the workflow of 'analog to digital' down, moving into full 3D point clouds feels a lot less overwhelming!

Good to hear you got it sorted. The .NET Framework conflicts can be tricky since Windows accumulates multiple versions over time, and some scanning software is pretty particular about which version it needs. I've had similar headaches with different scanning applications where newer framework versions somehow interfered with DirectShow video capture.

For anyone else running into camera connection issues, it's worth checking Device Manager first to confirm the camera is actually recognized by Windows. Sometimes it's as simple as a USB controller issue or power management settings turning off the port. I've also seen antivirus software occasionally block camera access in scanning applications, so temporarily disabling it during troubleshooting can help isolate the problem.

The hardware side really isn't as intimidating as it seems once you get past these initial software quirks. Most camera issues end up being driver or framework related rather than actual hardware failures.
