LG PF1500 low depth of field

I got the LG PF1500 recently and I'm seeing low depth of field, which means I'm unable to focus the image to be clear on the entire calibration panel. if i make it focus on the corner, the edges will be completely out of focus. the calibration panel is the printed file that comes with David installation, and measure approx. 211mm.
Can someone help with this issue?

Don't focus on the corner. Place the calibration cornet so that the scan subject is about co-planer with the outer donuts on the dot pattern. Focus on the center of the scan subject. Take that away. Calibrate, Party! For me when scanning parts that don't easily fit between the calibration panels I have a flat, white board that mounts to the center of rotation of my turntable. This allows me to focus the projectors and the cameras at the dead center of the project. After I focus I remove it, Calibrate. remove the panels and replace with the scan subject, Then party!

FWIW depth of field of the projector isn't critical but if there was a way to improve it I think that would help. That is essentially why I tried the laser projector. In theory that should be n excellent light source, however the surface finish I got using was horrible and I didn't have the resources to figure out why. I think it may have had to do with the DLP and polarization of the light.
