Finally, 4K projector prices are starting to come down. Though still high.

I would be curious to see what kind of improvement this would bring to our scans....

I think marginal. My current opinion is that going to a square pixel rather than a diamond was more beneficial than going from 720p to 1080p. I don't have hard data to back this up. It is mostly my intuition. I am not planning on rushing out to get 4K equipment any time soon.
