I use an LG PF1500. I chose it because it has a square mirror grid. It has been great.

Hi there.
Interested in this topic. I want to upgrade my setup too.
I also have a couple of 23UX236, an Acer K132 (non-david) and a couple of computar M1412.
Is there any of you that uses the LG PF1500 with these cameras+lenses?

-LG PF1500 is rated as 1.40-1.54 for Throw Ratio, Acer K132 1.49
-LG PF1500 minimum screen size is 69 cm, Acer K132 76 cm

Regarding the minimum size, I can focus the Acer K132 much smaller than 69 cm.
The 60mm panels can be used without the needs of the modified focus lever.

What's the minimum working distance - screen size for the LG? Can a 120 mm panel be calibrated?
Does the lens modification helps in incresing the Throw ratio?

That LG listed is not made anymore as well, so probably cant get one anyway.

What are the main prerequisites ? for a good scanner ? Does anyone know ?

Hello! I have LG PF1500G (06/2018). Minimum focal length is 29cm with 21*12cm pictures size.
If I need to reduce the focal length, I can use lenses in front of the projector (Macro Close Up Lens filter +1+2+4+10 for Nikon from aliexpress). For example with a +2 lens, I can get 20cm focal length with 15*8.5cm picture size.

I tried those macro lenses on my pf1500 too but found they introduced too much distortion to be useful. The error in calibration when way above acceptable values. What types of RMS values are you getting after calibrating with one of those lenses? Even still I found the 52mm adapter ring I mounted to the projector lens to be very useful for adding ND filters for scanning small objects. I like running the projector brightness in David at at least 200 as to have some range to dim and brighten during scanning to reduce hot spots.
