I'm using the exact same parts. Also ZLKC 12mm 5mpix F1.4 cmount and the YW500 camera.

Here's what i had to do to get the focus range right:

The black adapter ring (blue marking on the picture) was too far screwed into the camera. I unscrewed the setscrew (red), moved the black adapter ring outwards and tightened it again.

And just to make sure: You unscrewed the "orange" screw and changed the focus on the focus ring, right?

I just screwed the black adapter fully into the camera and the lens fully into the adapter. Then i took an image with a distance of 2m and the closest i can focus to. Here's the result:

Then i unscrewed the black adapter ring by a full turn (moving the lens a bit away from the camera body). And here we go, perfectly sharp image and even a bit of headroom to focus:

5mm is the distance at which the lens should be almost released from the body.
The reason is unknown... Maybe the manufacturer, without notice, changed the design of the mount inside the body, which made the matrix closer to the lens? Because outwardly, there are no differences in the buildings. But given the facts above, you will probably need to buy adapter rings, which are needed to attach the C-Mount lens to a CS-Mount camera.

P.S. I have already shown that my lens turned in all the way, and did not require eversion.

Thank you for always good information.

Perhaps the camera is a CS mount, as you would expect.
I only work normally when the lens is almost released from the camera.

I think you should buy and replace the linked product.

If you buy from AliExpress, you have to wait at least 15 days...

A lot of advice and good answers helped me a lot.
Thanks to those who helped.

Unscrewed another 1/2 turn (now 1.5 turns out) and here we go, perfectly sharp image at 40cm (!) distance. As you can see the distance between camera and lens is crucial to get the focus range right. Even a tiny offset will give you extremely differing results. See 2nd picture for the gap between lens and camera.

@kth
I also got the distance of 8mm on my camera as shown above.

Wow~!
Thank you for the detailed photos and detailed explanations.

As explained, even using the smallest wrench I have to unlock the black adapter does not work.

I am thinking about which tool to use to solve the black adapter.

Again, thanks for the detailed description and photos.

The screw is either Hexagon or Torx. I think i used a T6 or T8 screwdriver. Using hex should also work.

Thank you.

I will try to buy a TORX driver.

Thank you again for your interest and devotion.

Just tried again. T6 works, T7 doesn't (too big). 1.5mm hex is also too big. Maybe the setscrew is some imperial size? Sadly i don't have smaller hex bits to try.
